covid-19 updates

Pastor Angel's Weekly Update
Friday, May 22, 2020

In light of President Trump's announcement today declaring "churches are essential" and they can open up this weekend, Pastor Angel shares his thoughts and HOPE Tri-Cities' strategy to move forward. Please watch and listen!
Our HOPE family,

Psalm 112:6-9 says, “Their circumstances will never shake them and others will never forget their example. They will not live in fear or dread of what may come, for their hearts are firm, ever secure in their faith. Steady and strong, they will not be afraid, but will calmly face their every foe until they all go down in defeat. Never stingy and always generous to those in need, their lives of influence and honor will never be forgotten, for they were full of good deeds.”

In this season of grappling with COVID-19, social distancing, and changing how we connect as the body of Christ, this passage is our plan and how we will operate.

For the remainder of March, in accordance with the State of Washington and the United States Centers for Disease Control, we will suspend all groups and gatherings meeting here on campus at HOPE. This includes Celebrate Recovery, on-campus small groups, and Rooted. We are operating with wisdom and making this decision to care for the vulnerable members of our body. However, we will still connect as the body of Christ, just not in the same room.

We will provide an online live-stream Sunday service at 10AM and at 5PM on Facebook Live, YouTube, and this website that will include worship, sermon, any information or instructions, and the ability to interact and engage with each other online. Our youth and children’s ministries teams are currently designing plans to keep our families, youth and kids connected as well. Additionally, we are creating ways for small groups to connect online through video and phone conferencing.

This is an important moment for the church to rise up in faith and to unleash hope where we live. You have an opportunity to serve our community with your talents and gifts. We all have an opportunity to reach out to those around us in our neighborhood and our community with the love of Jesus. Please take a moment and go to to let us know how you can be a part of the team.

Thank you for your faithful generosity during this time. Your giving to HOPE Tri-Cities and to other non-profits is vital. Please stay faithful in your giving because the needs do not go away. You can continue to give online at or mail your check to 700 Comstock Street, Richland, WA 99352.

Finally, please know that we are praying for you. We are here for you. If you have needs, comments, questions, please reach out. We love you and are so thankful that we are called to serve and care for the HOPE Tri-Cities family.

Much love,
Pastor Angel, Laura, and the HOPE Tri-Cities team
